Female Fronted Bands

I've been trying to think if there've been any female fronted bands as high as Paramore (if they play second) since Garbage headlined in '98

I can't think of any, anyone else?

The only female fronted bands i can think of playing high up are Bjork and PJ Harvey. Dont really know when or how high up they played though.

I can remember PJ Harvey playing since 98, don't think she's been higher than 3rd, possibly 4th though. Gossip have played 4th or 5th I think too, no one higher than that though, that I can think of

She was bottled however, and third down

I wish there were MORE female fronted bands tbh

Metric, Spinnerette and Yeah Yeah Yeahs were all awesome last year! (Also, I think all of these are better than Paramore tbh...but I understand the teenage Paramore phase, cos I went exactly through the same thing when I was 16 and their first album was out

Anyway, female fronted bands need more presence at Reading. The Long Blondes were great in 2006 especially.

i'm not really a fan of female fronted bands except for the odd occasion (YYY's, the joy formidable etc).

paramore are an absolute pile of dog s**t. what an awful, awful band. i can't believe they are likely to be high up the line up.
