this wont affect download whatsoever, if anything - it will be events like download that might SAVE the racetrack.

when the video started, I couldnt make out what the fuss was about, but as it went on I got more and more gutted. Donington Park has been a kind of "spiritual home" for me since my first visit in my teens (well over 20 years ago) and was the place I think I want my ashes scattered when I go. This video may have changed all that. :P

I finally realised one of my life ambitions last year by driving round the track. I know many bikers and sportscar enthusiasts have driven it many times, but owning neither I had to grab the bull by the horns and go to one of the "red letter day" Ferrari experience things. It was amazing to drive round the track, to take the sweeping corner at redgate and peer down the steep drop through the craner curves and under starkeys bridge etc etc. It was amazing, and I hope the track doesnt get mothballed. Taking moto gp to silverstone was a massive mistake, and I will never go there. Moto GP, and all other bike racing belongs at donny. As well as rock and metal.

for those that are interested, heres the vid. and the track was in great nick that day BTW

dont laugh at my shit driving (cos I was shitting myself) or my massive belly.

Dude I am so jealous, I too would love to get to go round Donnington: I've been going there for the MotoGP (it belongs at Donnington, f**k Silverstone its a flat, boring car track) since '98 when I was about 10 and its by far my favourite track on any game its included in. How much did that cost, and how many laps did you get?

And of course if it weren't for Download Donnington would be screwed financially now, with no MotoGP, WSB or F1 to bring the cash in.

yeah, it was nerves. when I actually did put my foot down I was amazed how much the ferrari had left, I could have passed it easily if I had comitted to doing it about 200yds earlier and just gone for it.

its a real shame, cos 3 laps was just enough for me to start feeling comfortable - another 3 laps would have seen me putting in lap times a lot less shameful.

The fact of the matter is, you are driving a vehicle that is worth something like 80 grand, and there were f**king loads of other cars on the track, so if I had hit that lambo I would have potentially written off 160 grands worth of motors.

People said to me "how fast did you go?" and I can only reply - "I dont know, I didnt even look at the clock".
