Poleski
He seems to be getting a good reception on the facebook page. Might go check out the bar then.
theampersanddevil
I imagine that he shall be residing in the pub over the weekend. Over the years he has done many spoken word events and played the odd bit of music at student nights ect. Never seen him, but some of my mates have said he's good and odd bit tele I have seen he has been quite funny. His book is well worth a read. Top Banana
Check out his website... http://www.howardmarks.name/ Tells you a fair bit, but really the guy has done so much in his life you wouldn't believe. A good summary from the back of Mr Nice, his autobiography.... "During the mid-1980s, Marks had 43 aliases and 25 companies, all laundering money from dealing cannabis. After a world-wide operation, he was arrested and sentenced to 25 years at a State Penitentiary in Indiana, but was released in 1995 after serving seven years. This is his own story." Honestly, you really will like him. He's an amazing guy, and fantastic to speak to if you get the chance. Which I think we all will by the sounds of things!! blackg1000
Very, very cool guy. Loves his weed. Read his book 'Mr. Nice'. Probably one of the coolest books you could ever read.
PammyT
Yeah it's a good book. And apparently he does interesting talks and stuff. So it'll be all about promoting the new film to all the people who didn't know who he was before etc

theampersanddevil
Just noticed in this months the word that he is compering Peter Hook: an evening of unknown pleasures tales from joy division, new order and the hacienda. Its in April/May and no Scottish dates. Would be good if Hooky turned up as well.

Who'sme
They're not sending out any message. The man is a legend! Everyone should read his book. And you probably should smoke the real stuff and not spice.

Window Licker
Read his book 'Mr. Nice', then you'll see what all the fuss is about. The man is a living legend, social hero. Really looking forward to seeing his new film. And actually can't wait to see him behind a bar and have a wee chat, well done Jim King, well cool addition to an already stellar looking line-up.
