ha well i must admit, that since the guy has given us the OTHER NME headliners and the third acts down, my belief that he is telling the truth has gone down slightly

but i'd like to believe he is telling the truth (both because i'd like to think the lineup has leaked early, and because i'm quite fond of the bands 'announced' thus far)

though as i say, my belief in him is lowering so this could all (and most probably will) end up being garbage

the only headliner im more than 60% sure of is Blink-182, the others are gonna be shocks i reckon. Arcade Fire will sub headline purely because you cant from Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Kings Of Leon (however bad they may of been) to Arcade Fire who to be honest i'd never heard of until these rumours came up

EDIT: or an epic fail if you are the guy 'leaking' these rumours.

I do need to clarify what I've said there, that before xmas Elbow had no intention of taking any festie bookings for this summer until they'd got their new album wrapped up, which would only allow a late booking.

It's possible that this has changed since, but I very much doubt it.

Tbh even if Melvin came on here himself and told people the lineup their would still be pessimistic posts and people saying it is bullshit.

Some people come on here with credible stuff and others come on here with bullshit. Either way people choose whether to believe it or not so speculation is just a waste of time until the lineup is announced because either way you wont ever get the masses to believe you.

Also I must say Reading has been getting in a lot of bands people find overrated in recent years and by the looks of the rumours the mainstage headliners are the biggest overrated bands out there.

Guns N' Roses = Amazing in the late 80s- early 90's now Axl is living off the fame he got back then by trying to push them in a new direction which i will add as a poor direction.

Blink-182= I'm a big fan purely cause i think they've got classics you can sing along to, but i'd have them subheadlining a bigger band, but either way i dont think they are over rated, if anything under rated.

Libertines= They arent even rateable, i rate their singer as a W****r and this band are only famous because pete doherty is a tabloid favourite and indie kids who like to smoke weed and do drugs think they are as cool as him. I cant even begin to explain how annoyingly bad i think they are
