nearest/best train station for download

Thinking of getting the train up and was wondering whats the best station to head for and our far is it from the actual site

Never got the train there before, but your best bet is Derby or Loughborough. In fact, if you check the official site, I'm pretty sure they run shuttle buses to and from Donington, to and from both those stations.

Derby m8. there'll be shuttle buses outside the station leaving every 10 mins or so to take you to the grounds. go on arriva trains wales site to get a ticket in advance tho cz they could cost you shit load.

I got the train to Derby last year then the shuttle bus, think the bus was at the most £10 return [can't remember but it was no more than that]

The shuttle bus was £7 return last year - well worth it in my opinion

Nottingham is a good bet. Derby and Loughborough both geographically closer, however, Nottingham has a shuttle bus system that works all year round to East Midland Airport (Next to Download.). £5 return from the city out to Donnington Park, it stops right outside and runs 24 hours a day.
