As explained on another forum

We have taken into account pages of emails and forum messages from people with their views and the general consensus is, ‘absolutely amazing festival but it needs to be even more family orientated’

This may not be everyone’s cup of tea but is simply the best and only real option to ensure the event will take place easily in future years.

Anyone that knows the event know full well that this will still be a party beyond all partys but family camping and kids have their own field this year and a massive section of the festival budget has been put into this area promising it to be the perfect relaxing and enjoyable event for all the family

Sounds very positive and may consider returning.

What are your plans for the campervan field this year as last year was a complete shambles?

We turned up at about 4ish on Friday afternoon only to be squeezed in and told we couldn't pitch an awning as there was no space. I'm not sure where we were expected to put our pushchairs and other kit?

Friends that turned up a few hours later were turned away and told to park in the woods as there was absolutely no space left.

We paid £30 for a live-in vehicle ticket.

Oh dear we really are soooo sorry !!! thanks so much for bearing with us, we were refunding camper tickets at the production office for vehicles that couldn't fit in (I know that’s no excuse) we completely underestimated how popular the event was going to be and how many people were going to attend the festival, then after having to change car park at last minute due to pre weather issues it left us really understaffed, I can only apologise and ensure you that the new site is over 10 times the size with every little area of the festival being either tweaked or scrapped and completely revised...

I hope you can see past these problems, that were quite clearly a result of a new festival just in its 2nd year still really only finding its feet and trust the fact that 2010 will be spot on in every direction!!!

xx

Just recieved this message on facebook....absolutely massive news:

That right we are so pleased to confirm Reggae legends TOOTS and the MAYTALS to play at this years BOOMTOWN.

With several hits such as Pressure Drop, Monkey Man & 54-46 Was My Number, they are not to be missed!

They have been ranked 3rd in The All Time greatest reggae artists under Bob Marley and Peter Tosh so unless you have tickets for them this summer we suggest you make your way to Boomtown!

http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=eATaV2...laynext_from=ML

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfxlViNAjU8

Ticket are still only £58 till 30th April after which they are still at bargain price of £68 for the weekend.
