will they.

you know pd will never be arrested again

you know they will never break up 2 days before a gig

you know pd wont die before a gig

you know pd will never so strung out he cant play

dont get me wrong, i like em, but no promoter is ever going to have them headline until they have a proven track record of actually turning up

Pete is a junkie? i did not know this :P

people need to get over the whole musicians on Drugs things... it's very old now.

care to point out where I took a angle that was anything remotely like that? :P

Pete is a junkie. Junkies are habitual liars, and their word cannot be trusted about anything they utter. That's what comes from being a junkie.

The fact that he's also a musician has no relevance to that. It doesn't make him more trustworthy, it doesn't make him less trustworthy. He's a junkie, and you cannot trust a junkie.

We all know someone who knows all about this with Pete. He goes by the name of Carl Barat, and he had the junkie locked up for robbing him.

Although i do believe Neil and he is very sure that Arcade Fire will headline, i do find it pretty strange that The Libs would agree to get back togther after 6 years, to perform under a band that arent particularly popular and well known over here. (Undoubtly though they are very talanted and i do myself enjoy them.)

I thought there reformation would be massive massive news, and definately worthy of a headline slot, wheteher people like it/them or not. They took music in a whole new direction in the early 00's, much as Oasis did in the early 90's.

If they were subbing to a much bigger band than AF (e.g. Foo's), then i could understand them not being able to just swan back into the scene and headline one of the countries biggest festivals.

But i feel Carl and Pete and the band back together on stage would be a perfect way to end a days festivalling. For them to finish and then be followed by AF seems a little underwhelming for such an anticipated return.
