i think you're overestimating the popularity of QOTSA

they'd pull a f*cking amazing crowd, but against Blink, GnRs or Arcade Fire, not so much

they'd probably fill the tent better than any of last years NME headliners though

Judging by the amount of people that were at the mainstage in 2008, it would be very unwise to put them in the tent.

No One Knows (2008), 2 mins 55 secs.

4 mins 20 onwards ... imagine that in the NME tent. Would be horrible. Hopefully FR will be much too safety concious to do such a stupid thing. That is IF they play.

can't really see why - would've thought it'd be a pretty similar sized crowd in all honesty

depends what headliner they're up against really

i suspect they'd be on at the same time as Blink, which would decrease their crowd severely

Sorry, but I really don't see why people on here think they will be playing the NME tent.

2005, they played under The Killers and Pixies. 2008 they SECOND-HEADLINED under Rage. With the exception of Faith No More (who don't really count imo) there hasn't been a big American band headline the NME stage in the last ten years ... at least. Bands like QOTSA don't tend to headline the tent, it's as simple as that really - I don't see why this year will be an exception.

Queens of Stone Age could be clincher in me going to Leeds.

Arcade Fire and Libertines not playing Glastonbury plus every year I look at Leeds/Reading line up and the undercard is really good (not always that big on their headliners), but generally August bank holiday I've been at weddings etc.

This year I should be able to make it though.
