Hey guys just wanted to ask about the backdoor links as the time grows closer to all that stress and worry, hopefully followed by been extremely smug lol! Anyway when people start to find the links will they usualy be found in one thread or just on the forums all together! Don't want to be having a breakdown whilst searching to no avail for one on the night if you get my drift!

I see from previous years there was just the one main thread but thought I'd ask anyway I want to be well prepared! Plus filled cupboards with lots of drink to bring blood pressure down and hopefully celebrate lol!!

One final thing is there anyway I could help the cause? I mean with all the imensely helpful info I've gained from this forums only feels right to try and help in some way! Is there a way or is it just people in the know who feel very generous, thanks guys!

P.S GOOD LUCK TO ALL SERIOUSLY!!!

I ended up buying for three different people last year because I could reload the page easily and they couldn't get on. Will probably have to do it this year too although BT broadband is terrible and will probably be the main factor in someone's summer being ruined. Not mine cos I have my ticket by y'know.

The https thing isn't as reliable as it was a couple of years back now that See have implemented their "queuing" system. I'd make sure you've got a few websites open - and reloading them frequently when it hits 6.40 or so (some sites release early). Also make sure that you're logged in to Ticketmaster for using them.

Last year we "accidently" rang the wrong hotline. We rang the help line I think instead of the ticket line. Anyway we did this a few times, cos we needed 20 tickets for all our friends that sat about waiting with credit cards.

The first time a nice girl said she'd try and do it on her system, cos it was slightly different to the ticket line or something like that. She managed to do it and got our first 4 tickets. So we was cheeky and rang the same number again, this time got transfered us to the correct department to order tickets. 2 mins on phone another 4 tickets. If you have ever worked in a call centre you will know there are two kinds of transfers for calls a warm transfer and a cold transfer. If the call centre can do a warm transfer that means a department is contacting another department within the same business with you on the line. Dept to dept calls get priority and do not queue, not always the case with every business and will depend on the call centre and their facillties. If you get someone tight they will just give you the correct number as we began to find out

The rest of the tickets we waited until things carmed down and got them between 10 and 11 I think, even if it says sold out peoples credit card have been declined and the tickets made available again.

If all else fails they release another few batches

I have never got what the fuss is about, there is a big group of us that go every year and never failed to get tickets. Just invite everyone round that wants to go, have a few wireless laptops and mobile phones on the go. Stick radio 1 on listening to the announcement, few beers and relax lol

Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure ( HTTPS) is a combination of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol with the SSL/TLS protocol to provide encryption and secure identification of the server.

Its basically security for payments made over the internet, sothe link is meant to put you straight through to the secure servers rather than clinking on a few links first. The more you click the more crashes and queues there are when there are a lot of people on the servers

Thing is that SeeTickets have introduced their queuing system, and the https address still has to run through that before you get to the payments page - previously you'd get pretty much straight through to the buying page as the https link was prioritised so that payments didn't crash. Now they seem to have gone to a model where they restrict the number of people that can get on to the tickets buying server, rather than prioritising people on there.

i used the https thing last year and it worked an absolute treat for me - got four tickets (each seperately, as first i bought mine, then my friend told me to buy his, then another two friends asked me to get theirs, as they were all struggling) and i got them all in a matter of ten or so minutes

i'll definitely be trying it again this year

there's still a que but it's a hell of a lot faster than clicking on a bunch of links, each one crashing and taking ten minutes to reach the next link
