XrtVra
I remember a while ago some talk of the organisers swapping eminem (who was rumoured for wireless) to leeds/reading because of the "awful" lineup leak of blink/mcr/af well now, the headliners are jayz, lcdsoundsystem/missy elliot, pink - eminem isnt on the bill and since historically, L/R has shared a headliner with T in the Park/Oxegen, i reckon eminem is now bang on to headline that missing night. this would mean a possible Blink................GNR.........Eminem Paramore........MCR.........Libertines Hole.................AF............QOTSA Whatcha'll think? kibble
It's been said for the past week he is back in contention, it'd be nice to see him. I think your spot on with the headliners and nme headliners too.
XrtVra
Yeah I know, but until then it was more peoples hopes, being destroyed by others saying "no, he'll be announced for wireless" now theres no reason why he wouldnt (apart from neil's word for it? haha)
Lithium05
I would love that set of headliners. But I can't see it happening.
Cozzi
I still think arcade fire will, nice to see something different with Eminem though.

FloorFiller
i have my fingers crossed so so much for Eminem to be playing. i would be eccstatic if it happened p!ssed off that it'd mean Arcade Fire in a tent, meanining i'd miss them, but hell, Eminem is worth it
mrtourette
Given all the rumours flying around that looks fairly possible.

Tom1889
Need some enlightenment from Neil here methinks. I'd love for Eminem to be there but i can't see it happening. Arcade Fire are a dead cert to headline but i think they're just that little bit too big to go in the NME tent. Plus i doubt they'd all fit on stage, they're like an indie So Solid Crew. gr4h4m
Or alternatively AF could headline the main with The Libertines 2nd down. Would still fit that criteria.. Really can't see The Libertines leading into Eminem.

paulii
what and would you of said the same in 2000 before it was eminem and marilyn manson? Edited March 29, 2010 by paulii
kibble
Only unless Libs played third down and you had someone mixing the two genre's in the middle as it transitions into a 'rap' gig !? Cozzi
But then, at a mainly rock/indie festival like LR, who would?

gr4h4m
Marilyn Manson and Eminem are both close friends / were both the most controversial musicians in those days so it worked in that respect i can imagine the crowd switch for Libs and Eminem to be quite drastic (depending on who's headlining the NME etc though) The Libs into Eminem wouldn't be THAT weird i suppose. stranger things have happend. but Libs into AF makes so much more sense i think i'm just really really hoping it's Eminem and don't care if he totally messes up the flow Edited March 29, 2010 by gr4h4m
XrtVra
i dont think there would be a massive changeover or anything, if they had the other headliners right - libertines fans are more likely to go on and watch eminem than someone like qotsa, or a lockup headliner don't you think? nothing could be as bad as the jamie t -> fnm switchover when kol were playin after jt
groovygilb
I've heard many many people saying this is the weakest line-up.. and I just cannot see away from GnR, Blink, AF. I'm not a huge fan of those three, only AF, but I will be happy cause I am so so so sick of Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Muse, etc, the same old festival acts. About time people concentrated on three other bands so I'm just relieved we're getting a break from them. Though if Green Day are announced I might chop my balls off in protest. I'm desperate for the Eminem rumours to be true. I'm so excited for the announcement but I bet you anything it'll be the same as every year... I'll be disappointed. FloorFiller
oh yeah i'm in no way doubting that Eminem would get a bigger crowd than AF. to say he wouldn't would be stupid his name alone in the announcement will guarentee tickets selling out faster i just think AF are more likely

Role Model
i really hope this happens, its totally reasonable, makes sense etc. but i'm doing my best not to get my hopes up. he'd easily have one of the biggest audiences of the weekend. he's always had huge cross-over appeal.
