eminem back in contention?

i really hope this happens, its totally reasonable, makes sense etc. but i'm doing my best not to get my hopes up. he'd easily have one of the biggest audiences of the weekend.

him not doing Wireless is pretty much what has made it seem so much more likely to me, seeing as he was nailed on for that, and now nothing. it makes sense for it to happen, but i still struggle to see it happening. would be so happy though.

i dont think there would be a massive changeover or anything, if they had the other headliners right - libertines fans are more likely to go on and watch eminem than someone like qotsa, or a lockup headliner don't you think?

does the fact LR and TITP/Oxegen have shared a headliner 2009, 2008, 2005, 2004, and shared other high up acts every year count for anything, when this year we are sharing Arcade Fire with Oxegen, but no other top9 acts, and no top9 acts at TITP

I've heard many many people saying this is the weakest line-up.. and I just cannot see away from GnR, Blink, AF. I'm not a huge fan of those three, only AF, but I will be happy cause I am so so so sick of Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Muse, etc, the same old festival acts. About time people concentrated on three other bands so I'm just relieved we're getting a break from them. Though if Green Day are announced I might chop my balls off in protest.

I'm desperate for the Eminem rumours to be true. I'm so excited for the announcement but I bet you anything it'll be the same as every year...

I'll be disappointed.

i think it's pretty stamped on that whoever headlines the third day, The Libertines will be under them

Pendulum- maybe not, if they had a new album thats successful I could see them doing it- they would have a massive appeal at Reading.

Dizzee- definately third I think if he was to play (although he probably wont according to speculation). Was 6th last time I think and has become huge since, another act that would be popular at Reading I think.

i'd put money on Pendulum being third or fourth one day - maybe Arcade Fire day (i originally thought heavy day but with so many big heavy bands being announed it seems less likely)
