How do they expect us to buy tickets without HEADLINER/DAY INFO?

This NME 'exclusive' thing is a joke - tickets at 6.45 and headliners after 7??? It can be said with some certainty that pretty much all camping tickets will be sold before the headliners are announced., leaving the following options...

1) Buy a camping ticket anyway, on the basis that The Libertines (or whoever, for others) are playing.

2) Wait for the announcement, and only be able to buy a ticket for the specific day, and even then run the risk that some big pocketed fans have bought all the day tickets at random already!

Add to this the nightmare of frantically phoning mates whilst contending with the internet rush, and I'm not pleased. With all other fests you normally get 3 or 4 days til the nearest Friday, and even with Reading/Leeds in the past you've got a couple of hours!

i agree, if, like me, arcade fire are the only band ur interested in and u want to buy a day ticket, ur stuffed cause they aint said what day fs

Reading and Leeds don't care. It will sell out either way.

It's the same as TITP in that sense. The owners know they will sell out either way.

I think we have a general idea who's playing top two anyway. Pretty much certain Blink 182, Arcade Fire, GNR, Paramore, The Libertines and MCR will all be there.

weeked tickets wont sell out till like 10, day tickets, idk, but they take a while

Every year there are still tickets the night of release hours later, even into the next day. Last year I bought two Reading camping tickets for a mate using her card at 1am the day after release.

So if you are going to wait for the official announcement I hope this puts your mind ever so slightly at rest.

tickets will not be sold out after 15 minutes, maybe an hour or so. and even then, there are always more put back on at later times.

This is why I am happy I don't go to festivals because of the line-up there will be something I like regardless and there is nothing like the buzz of a festival, that is why I go

I have been the last 4 years and between me and friends asking me to buy them tickets (which must be 40 or so) I have never managed to buy tickets before 7.30 so everyone is panicking about not knowing the lineup but by the time most people get through you will know the lineup.
