Looking at that NME cover, you were both half-right. Keese got GnR. Neil got Arcade Fire. The NME cover looks like "Arcade Fire: Headliner speaks". Everyone got Blink 182.

well, if I was being picky (), I'd point out that I never disputed him when he said GnR - I used the info he presented, and had that verified by my own sources within a couple of days.

What we did dispute was him saying Libs were headlining and me saying AF were. And with that, to punktastic and all the doubters here too .... eFestivals was right.

Give the guy some credit he got The Libertines and (I think) Guns N' Roses when they had barely been mentioned at the time. I doubt people care that much if its a headliner or a subheadliner they just want to know whose playing!

oh, I'm crediting him hugely - he's clearly got great sources, and because the libs are the real talking point in the line-up, it's easy to understand how things got changed in the tellings. I suggested as much to him by PM after I'd had word they were special guests and not headliners, tho he was understandably adamant he'd got things right.
