left it up to my dopey mate to buy our Leeds tickets and he used See and got Reading tickets by accident so he bought some leeds tickets off this website: www.leeds-festival.net.

I have my doubts wether its legit or not can anyone help? I normally just phone ticket line like...

From what I know about it, it should be avoided. How much did he pay for tickets. Baisically it is a tout site, it's in no way official or linked with the festival in any way. Personally I'd try and cancelled the order immediatly. Reviews come up with "tickets not delivered" "incorrect tickets" etc

190 like. its the top result when you search leeds festival in google its f**king disgusting £760 quid and we still havent got our Leeds ticket haha nightmare

Try contacting them (provbly won't work) or try contacting your bank to stop the money going out. ODds are you will not be getting tickets from there, sorry to say

happend to my friends they were stupid enough to google 'leeds festival tickets'

you should always stick to ticketmaster, seetickets, gigantic etc. the known ticket sites and if you can't get one on the night wait around for a few cancellations here and there, never get desperate and go to a site you've never heard of.

on the up side if the money hasn't been taken out of his account, get him to ring his bank and have his card blocked. the down side being his card is useless until he gets a replacement in the post which ruins any chance of getting leeds tickets with his own card. if the money has gone out, report it to trading standards. there's a 'what do to' thing on the leeds site under ticket information, here's a chunk:

no offense... but why would he do that?

not only did he buy reading tickets instead of leeds tickets (i still dont understand how people actually do this year on year) he managed to buy tickets from a tout fake site when they havnt actually sold out yet.

no offense intended, but he isnt the smartest person is he?

oh and yeah as people have said... check if the moneys been taken, if it has try to cancel (not really much hope) and ring his bank or whatever and tell them... if its a credit card im sure there are all sorts of laws protecting users... probably a debit card tho and i dont think your as protected... but im not a laywer but ring them up as soon as possible to tell them to cancel the money!

they had sold out on seetickets last night once he had realised he got reading tickets so he typed in 'leeds festival tickets' on google and the sponsered link is the one in the title.. shocking that google haven't kicked them off like.

if theres still people stupid enough to use sites they've never heard of, people will continue to exploit it. its a shame but there's not much you can do. not everyone is smart enough to check the leeds site for official ticket vendors. the demand for tickets does get frantic and its easy to get caught up in fake sites. they must be making a shit load of cash though!

all the more reason to employ the photo ID. suppose it might clamp down?

Yeh a guy I know got caught up in the moment on tuesday evening and lost all common sense haha. He rang then bank and they cancelled the transaction and froze the card, I said to him afterwards he was stuiped for not buying from a official vendor as FR make it fairly clear.

But anyone that done exams will know people miss whole pages because they didn't look on the back page..
