Well seeing as it was never a possibility that Slash would be playing with GNR I'm not sure this is really news!

Slash hasn't been in Guns N Roses for about 12 years, and was recently referred to as "a cancer" by Axl Rose. Seems unlikely he was talking about astrology. Slash and Axl will never be in the same band together again.

I know the whole of the Beatles reform is more likely to happen than Slash and Axl but if by some miracle they both walked out onto stage it would be AMAZING. Yeh its still Guns and Roses and as other have said this is by no means a recent thing to have happened. Ultimately even with a full Guns and Roses band rocking on the sunday its your own opinion of what you think is "good" that you should be your festival compass

What pisses me off more is the whole "blah blah Axl's fault... Axl's an asshole... Woo Slash!" attitude by people who probably know little about the band itself. I'm not excusing Axl's faults whatsoever, but people really need to realise that every member of that band had faults and they all contributed to the end of the old band. Axl's done bloody well to even keep the name alive, never mind keep it in the phenomenal live condition it's in today.

girl i know who often wears a GnR's t-shirt didnt believe me when i said Slash wasnt a member of the band anymore. pretty much sums it up.

It might be an amusing game to play during GNR - how many of the crowd turn to their mates and say something like "what's happened to Slash?".

I just hope to god we don't have people heckling 'wheres slash' like the people I heard shouting 'play something we know' at Radiohead. I don't have a problem with people not knowing or liking a band, but if thats the case why ruin it for others.

certain it will happen, it's pretty much a given in my opinion. will mostly be small pockets of people mind, and not the majority of the field.

I keep hearing people quoting Slash as saying this, Is a six or seven figure sum really that much? Not really.
