It's a shame someone like pendulum isn't playing the NME at the same time, I'm not sure LCD will have the mainstream appeal to remove many of the idiots that would cause problems at GnR.

It makes sense for Download though, as truth is if they could just break even on ticket sales profits to band booking / festival expenses losses they'd rake it in - and having a sell out this year would only position next year stronger. ACDC are pretty much a guarenteed sell out for the festival, albeit it's not as quick as some expected.

But seriously, I'm not surprised, and I'm expecting RATM and Aerosmith to be getting 7 figures too (Albeit not up to what ACDC are getting, combined).
