Queue-it is a service run on top of Akamai compute presence in DC's and associated acceleration services such as DNS. Its a cloud buy in like much of infra these days. I remember not that long ago it got 'poisoned' and half the internet went down, which shows the power they have over the caching services they offer
This year after cancelling all the South American editions, and the site in being pretty quiet Thursday and Saturday, i wonder if theyve got some big losses to make up for.
I know people were talking about Radiohead being special in 2016, but it was one of my favourite times at Primavera because 80% of the audience were watching. I wandered around and watched a few bands up close, without any fuss, so I'm hoping the same this time 🙂
Queue-It and Akamai can be used interchangeably in this conversation.
They're different companies, but in this instance Queue-It is hosted / relies on the Akamai CDN, and the Akamai CDN (presumably) wouldn't be in play here if it it wasn't for Queue-It.
