personally i couldn't have asked for 2 bands back to back that i'd rather see at this point in time.

i saw babyshambles a few months back and i thought they were great. doherty was in top form. since then i have gone back to the libertines and can't wait to see them. hope they pull it off with aplomb.

arcade fire....well.....brilliant.

the people who say they are boring are the same people who think radiohead are boring and would rather see sum 41 or something. i just don't really care too much about their musical judgement. leave them to it and hope they find bands at the festival that they can enjoy

i think glasto would have been chuffed to bits to get these 2 back to back. arcade fire will headline glasto in the next few years.

personally arcade fire bore me to tears but i cant understand why arcade fires fans are getting worked up about people saying they shouldnt headline. these boards have done nothing but slag pumpkins,FNM,NIN,etc for years.but i just went down the front,had a great time and didnt care that they 'werent worthy headliners' or 'didnt have a very big crowd'.

arcade fire fans should ignore us,send us to the lock up/NME and just enjoy yourself.

Agreed, I saw them at glastonbury and they completely bored me, other people enjoyed them and they are luck that a band they like is headlining. I on the other hand would rather they werent headlining as it would increase the chances of a band I enjoy headlining instead.

Works better for me and all my friends. Once Libertine are done, pop over to the NME to watch Pendulum. Arcade Fire should be headlining because can you really rely on the Libertines?

Problem is for AF coming on after the Libertines will be hard for AF. Similar to Prodigy and AM last year. But anyway Pendulum!!!!!

Yeah I would be too I guess, but going to a Doherty gig you've got to be prepared for a no show really. Thankfully, I've been lucky so far with him.

The Libertines then decided they might want to reunite so R/L said "well you can't headline any more but do you still want to play"... so they did.

Seems more likely to me. They are definatly headliner quality/size.

The Libertines simply dont have enough songs, they could play every song on their album and still not fill up the full 1.5-2 hour slot required of them.
