chappiepunk
me too, i think it's cos of the introduction of downloads in the charts. ANYWAY. my point wasn't about charts. it's about onemangang being a dick and saying 'who are this shit band' a page back so i wanted to say that about his favourite band. /rant. ThisSceneIsDead
who the f**k are beady eye? edit: just googled them, their highest placing single yet got to 31. that's all i need to know.
mrtourette
That's correct, but chart placings are only relevant when being used to wind up onemangang.

Role Model
People don't buy physically singles, first of all you'd be lucky to even find them, but the download industry has helped keep the singles market relevant and hugely popular. You and I may not care, but this forum isn't really representative of chart music for the most part.

Bisque
When downloading an album off say itunes or any other popular site, all downloads of songs on that album will count towards that songs' current singles sales. I beleive.

jump
Nope. downloading as an album on Itunes doesnt add anything to single sales, If you was to buy each single song separate though it would count towards single sales. Its because the album price is cheaper that buying each individual song. I imagine single sales are through the roof now, loads of people I know just buy single songs off itunes now
Bobs
Someone just posted a tweet then saying the poster was leaked, for a short time on Vodafone and claims the headliners are Daft Punk, Green Day and Muse, been retweeted by a half decent bigger source too.. I like Daft Punk, but please, let this be false.

jump
Whats this person on about, they contradict themsleves over and over again, saying 'Reading Festival is the death of music' However 'It sells out before they annoucing anything. 'And Its the death of music' but Reading and Leeds offer 7 stages and many bands who play the fest get there first real big break because of being able to play infront of so many people. 'Welcome to the death of music. Reading Festival is thy name'. Bo***cks, if any festival is killing music made a Man and his guitar is V festival... Who promote the chemercialised crap that is spoon fed to everyone when the really person who writes the song and plays the instrument gets paid tuppence whilst the semi good looking front person gets paid millions and cannot even sing!
