paddyfourtwenty
Although last years lock up of Rise Against, Billy Talent, Anti Flag & Streetlight Manifesto can never be bested (in my opinion anyway)... here's some bands that will redeem the £180 semi-w*nkfest there is so far (I say semi because Blink, Pendulum & Thrice are pretty awesome): • Billy Talent Anti Flag played twice in '08... they were low down on the main stage list on Friday much like Billy Talent are now, & opened for the mighty Less Than Jake the next day on the lock up) • Less Than Jake Won't happen, they said in '08 it was there last ever Reading/Leeds but it's a wish list so they are on it • Architects Let's get some metal in there... • Capdown Now they are back together!!!!!!!!!! • Authority Zero Pleeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssseeeee! • Zebrahead Never seen them before, would love them to play
yellams
Not too many bands I want to play this year (last year was almost perfect for me Lock Up wise) Only bands that would fit that come to the top of my head are: City and Colour (much like Chuck Ragan 09) Story of the Year And I can definately see NoFX being the 2 slot band this year, unless lock up isn't reading friday (which is what I'm hoping for)
therefused
i really hope the best lock up is on the saturday. theres not many bands on the mainstage i really want to miss on friday and sunday to be fair.

Vieuphoria
Anything, & I meen ANYTHING, will be better then Arcade Fire. Let's have another 'f**k the Kings of Leon' moment for sure!!!

Vieuphoria
not at all sir. But declaring a band are clearly one of the worst every ("anything would be better than") just because they are unaware/dislike them is rather stupid. And... "f**k Kings Of Leon" chants are proper oldschool cool sir.
Vieuphoria
if you dont like arcade fire you clearly are an idiot!!??!!! i thought only radiohead fans thought like this.

Vieuphoria
yes... the lockup... I would love to see Get Up Kids, Capdown, Goldfinger, Rancid and Bad Religion to play... thought last years was pretty weak, hopefully there willbe an improvment this year. Vieuphoria
Ah so your music taste isn't COMPLETELY balls (again, in my opinion). Capdown, Goldfinger & Bad Religion are quality bands. Saw Capdown's 'last ever gig' at The Peel in Kingston... was a good set. Goldfinger were pretty epic at Reading 08 aswell. scottt
Yeah i wasnt too keen on the lock up last year. Mainly the headliners i thought were a bit of a let down. Not tryna be all "i hate popular music" but they were both a bit kind of mainstream. I have nothing against them, i just like seeing bands like Bad Religion, Sick of it All or Glassjaw headlining. Also realllly hoping off with their heads play. And hope Rival Schools appear again, or just Walter Schreifels, in the Chuck Ragan position. paddyfourtwenty
oh i know mine isnt COMPLETELY balls... shame yours is (again, in my opinion) What i'd love is to have The Gits singer brought back so they could play 'Frenching The Bully' in it's entirety. Have a few more riotgrrrl bands too. Why don't we get MC5 and New York Dolls to headline the two days, that'd do me
Vieuphoria
am I to understand you think the bands u just stated before that I said I also liked come under the 'completely balls' catagory? Coz that was your saving grace too...
Budweiser
tbh if Glassjaw aint there lock up tent can die for all i care
robsadler
i'm not a huge fan of punk but my girlfriend is absolutely mad for it so i get dragged there for a fair proportion of the festival! i'd personally love to see the get up kids, saves the day, dropkick murphy's (headline GnR day) and it would make my life if the impossibles and at the drive in both had reunions ..............hey, a guy can dream! Dropkick Murphy
Bad Religion are touring in August. I'm pretty certain that means they're gonna be headlining.
Matticus
Refused would be sweet, watch them instead of GNR
Tomleeds
Gonna slightly change my prediction: Bad Religion Sick of it all The Bronx A Day to Remember (playing main stage and lock up) Four Year Strong Dwarves RX Bandits Big D and the kids table Casualties Star f**king Hipsters Trash Talk Reel Big fish Against Me! Slackers Zebrahead Hot Water Music Capdown Sonic boom Six The Flatliners Cobra skulls Sharks The Skints
