Akamai offers their own bot protection (nothing to do with Queue-It.) I had hoped, would hope, that this is why Akamai was chosen to host it. -
Queue-it is a service run on top of Akamai compute presence in DC's and associated acceleration services such as DNS. Its a cloud buy in like much of infra these days. I remember not that long ago it got 'poisoned' and half the internet went down, which shows the power they have over the caching services they offer -
This year after cancelling all the South American editions, and the site in being pretty quiet Thursday and Saturday, i wonder if theyve got some big losses to make up for. -
I know people were talking about Radiohead being special in 2016, but it was one of my favourite times at Primavera because 80% of the audience were watching. I wandered around and watched a few bands up close, without any fuss, so I'm hoping the same this time 🙂
