People Under The Age of 18 Attending

Let's face it, children are the worst thing to have ever happened to England. They don't exist anywhere else. Just here. With their beady eyes, their flashing glow sticks... the little bastards.

Anyway, what are your views on them attending and how do you feel it reflects the values of parental morals in Britain? Should more rules be put in place to prevent children from being able to access festivals and the music played at them? Should children just be banned outright?

i'll be turning 18 about 3 weeks before Reading so im safe haa

plus i do enjoy laughing at the 14 year old posers at festivals and targeting them in the crowds

Well being the king of liberalism, i'm not gonna say we should ban them. I would however, like for all of them to decide not to go.

The majority of U18s that go are little chav bastards that deserve a beating. However, I don't think it's fair to stop all U18s attending - they have as much right to go as anyone else. I may be biased though as I'm 18 and a few friends going are 17.

I do mean on a general scale, though. Not just for the festival; just in general. Children should be banned. Don't misinterpret that as genocide either; it would just involve taking them out of nappies and putting them in business suits.

It seems most of the dicks at a festival are under 18s there who arnt there for music, just to get wasted while mummy and daddy arnt watching. Shame, theres kids out there who are genuinely there for the music and it gets ruined for them

Haha, it's a sad fact that there is a lot of people my age who go to festivals like Leeds and give a fair justification to this sort of view. However, I'm 16 and I'll be going this year and I assure you they're the kind of people who the majority of people my age would wish weren't there too... not all of us are out to cause trouble. Think you'll find most of us just wanna enjoy the music and have a good weekend!

i went first went when i was 17.... I do not like Glowpaint. I do like other such shananigans. I like music and camping with people. So i dont think all should be banned... maybe a test of music trivia to get in.... if you're going to be really elitist about it

Despite being over 18, maybe over 18s should be banned. The under 18s seem to enjoy themselves more than the overs, and the rest of us are more likely to be able to travel to gigs anyway. Probably only at Leeds/Reading though.

The thing is, if people are dickheads when they're 16/17, they're still (mostly) going to be dickheads when they turn 18.

Also I was 17 when I first went, and we made great friends with a group of 25 year olds...

im 17 - will be 18 when i go to reading and i think if any chavs try and start trouble that we teach them the lessons of life - they are the lowest of the lot and noone cares about them and would rather be there for the bands than to be "cool" and "hard" drugging themselves up to impress their shitty little mates.

I disagree with the fact 'ban all 15-17 year olds' due to the fact, its like the government saying all kids are bad..

i'm 17, will be 18 like 3 days after the festival:| but we're going to have a good time, not cause trouble to other people going to the festival..
