The Damned Things

Added today, an artical Ive just read says about them....

There’s another new supergroup of sorts on the horizon: two members of Fall Out Boy are using their time away from the band to provide riffs and beats for a new heavy metal side project called the Damned Things. FOB guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley have teamed with Anthrax’s Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano, Every Time I Die’s Keith Buckley and bassist David Karon in the new band, which Ian describes to Rock Sound as “Kyuss meeting Thin Lizzy.”

Urghhhh I was quite looking forward to them, but hadn't heard the Kyuss meets Thin Lizzy description before which has maybe soured my opinion a bit. Will remain hopeful but honestly not a clue what to expect.

They're between ABR and DEP so I'll probs end up watching them... I've no idea what to expect to be honest.

I'm looking forward to them. I mean, its got to be better than Fall Out Boy for starters, which is a good thing. I think between them there's enough musical chops to ensure this rocks, even if it doesn't set the world alight.

They just self confirmed on twitter they're playing again this year!

I, as usual, did my "I cant be arsed to move today" thing on the Sunday and literally lazed about at Main Stage all Sunday until THE RAIN!

A few of my friends got quite excited when they heard this, so perhaps I will check them out. So long as they are in the right place at the right time for me. Obv.
