Motion City Soundtrack are the best announced today. Shame they're not in a tent though. Although it would avoid a potential clash with someone like Weezer.

I wasnt expecting much, but i'll happily see the young guns and thrice if there is no clashes with anyone else. Possibally NYPC too but not a huge fan, depends how i feel.

Surely Serj is the special guest slot if he's on the NME stage Saturday.

Can't see him playing lower than 4th.

He's the only one in the bunch I'm excited about.... And the first on the Saturday I'm really looking forward to, in a tent he should be immense!

But hopefully if SOAD are touring 2010 then Melvin has a chance to snatch them as a result of the Serj Booking. (wishful thinking kicking in)

why not? frank turner is playing brixton academy (5000 people) this year, whereas serj struggled to sell out kentish town forum (2000 people) at the height of his solo career, which certainly hasn't gotten any bigger since then.

Not a particularly great announcement, only really excited about Serj. The Futureheads will be worth a watch if nothing else is on and of all the bands I hadn't listened to before Wild Beasts do sounds pretty good and Surfer Blood might be worth a watch.

Very pleased with Serj, been wanting to see him for a long time. Seems this year the special guest lives up to their name (although Ian Brown is special imo). The rest, meh. I have some friends who like MCS, but they've been confirmed for ages afaik, The Futureheads used to be alright, I'll have to dig out their album again.
