jacketspud
I Have been through the experience -a 2nd hand of a boob job - what an experience! - My friend has always been a "hottie" and had no trouble attracting men - and so it really surprised me when she asked me to support her when she decided to go for a boob job - I diddnt want to put her off but I did say they wont be looking at that sparkle in your eye any more after this and you might miss em not looking you in the eye! Anyway what a place to go to - these places in Harley Street! Her surgeon although nice was well I'm not sure how to describe him - you would have to be a woman to understrand - part of me even wondered if he was indeed the surgeon - I thought maybe he was a hired actor to pull you in - what a smoothie! -even I was ready to have some work done (well not really) anyway - going to the private hospital was also an experience. You dont normally get midnight visits where a doc sweeps you out of your bed to show you his work while you are stilll being sick over the anestetic. She told him he could have em back at this point and he kissed her! its like totally wierd! Anyway I think she is now happy with her lady bits even though I said they looked good after he put just the marker pen all around them but I remember going back to the clinic afterwards with her at Harley street and seeing another surgeon talking to his client in the waiting room he seemed even more of a slimebag (at least my friends one was a handsome Italian smoothie!) One Guy (a surgeon) there was so fake himself and was commentiing on the decor around the place saying everything here is fake here and I had to agree with him ( he diddnt realise that I meant him too! maybe he did but diddnt care!) Just to say she did do it totally for her own self esteem which is the only reason to go for i in my opinion - infacxt her current partner was very against it - a tricky one but as I say I think she doesnt regret it and she will have a great set of knockers when shes still 60 where mine will probably be on the floor! lol

worm
I, personally, couldn't care less what people want to do to themselves.
worm
the only judgement I'm making is that the 'improvements' don't do much improving
worm
when I said "I see a difference", it was a metaphorical 'see', as in I percieve a difference. Nothing to do with anything visual

rabid
so you see no difference between Madonna having her cheeks, lips, whatever else 'done', to someone horrifically disfigured hoping to not look like a monster out of a slash film? worm
well, there are degrees. I'm not too bothered how people look, but if someone walked in to my room with 3 eyes, no mouth and puss oozing out of their ears, I have to admit I'd probably feel a little uneasy Edited November 29, 2010 by worm
sifi
I think people should do whatever the f**k they want as long as it doesn't hurt other people. Plastic surgery? Go for it, if you want it. Especially if it's breast implants. I love the way that women who have just had breast implants flash 'em about and - on one occassion - even encouraged me to give them a bit of a grope, because they felt - her words - "so realistic". Brilliant.
ministe2003
Magic. I'll take that as you getting my point. So when someone feels that they're being perceived as a 3 eyed monster with no mouth and puss oozing out of their ears it's perfectly acceptable to want to change the situation? worm
Perhaps it would be better to change the person's perception of themselves with psychological help. Teach them that Hello magazine isn't always right instead of carving them up.
Katster
and I know I'm going to get 'questioned' about this, but what's the big deal with big(ger) tits..? I've never said I don't think people should be able to do whatever they want, I just don't understand it

Katster
Don't you think there's a bigger issue here though. Like why do people wnat to look different to how they do? Doesn't it show some kind of lack of self esteem? That there is some kind of ideal 'look'... aren't we just getting in a tail spin over something which is essentially rather meaningless? worm
Of course. But you'll still never completely understand how it feels to them.
