Latest lineup annoucement

Usually at Electric Picnic, the Saturday night main stage acts are on a bit later to 2 oclock, I thought it would be the same for RockNess.

Maybe Aphex will get announced for EP too, catch the first half of Aphex and second half of Leftfield at RockNess. Then at EP catch the first half of Leftfield and the second half of Aphex heh heh

Not so bothered about the Aphex/Leftfield clash, as Leftfield is playing EP. I mean f**k it!, Aphex does not play that much these days, so I have to experience his madness. It will just mean having to wait until Sept to see Leftfield. But I have always wanted to see Aphex, probably my number one bonkers electronica genuis. Now thats a line up, fair play to ya Jim, excellent.

put simply, this line up is stupidly good and anyone who thinks otherwise is a damn fool!!!

going to be some nightmare clashes but that is a great thing, far better than wondering who to go see next!

i very much doubt aphex and leftfield will clash, i think aphex will be given the latest slot. they might overlap a bit maybe but for the most part i think you'll be able to see both.

surprised aeroplane have been put in the clash was hoping for a smaller tent for them, but its a minor gripe.

i would guess that arcadia will be a 3am job! Green Velvet surely to close it on the saturday, wont that be something! Cameras ready....

I've only been to one other festival before (TITP) and was wondering if Rockness is similar in regards to timetables in that you don't find out until you get there and buy a programme?

Going by what's been posted there are a few clashes for me but it could be a lot worse!

They try and arrange it so that clashes don't happen as much, it's no where near as bad as TITP for clashes anyway

Good stuff! This will be my 3rd year at T and I have to say I'm a lot more excited for Rockness. Seems like it could have a lot better atmosphere and I've just been going around this forum listening to acts people reccomend and I'm loving it!

I still expect a lot of clashes though because my taste in music is very varied. From Doves to the Bloody Beetroots and from Vampire Weekend to Vitalic. Absolutely buzzing!

You're doing the same as me then.

Last year it was my 3rd TITP and my first RockNess. This year I'm going to RockNess and Glastonbury instead of TITP. Speaks for itself really.

Give RockNess a few more years and it will be the perfect festival

Like last year im setting out for an easy Friday in terms of music with about 1 or 2 acts on the stages and then campsite wreck til the early hours.

Theres always Optimo playing the Afterburner til the early hours, should not be missed

I reckon they'll add a couple more acts to the friday line-up alright, nothing major though.

Last year was my first year and there wasnt much happening on the friday apart from the flaming lips, the rizla bus and soco tent (which were both brilliant).

Fridays always good to settle in and get a feel for the place, I'll be in Howards End for a few defo, then go mental saturday and sunday!
