Campsite Access with Day-tickets ?

Right, i fully understand all the 'we've had to pay, so should you ! Just buy a ticket like the rest of us' arguments, but are you allowed access to all of the campsite facilities with a day-ticket ?

1. With a day-ticket, is it possible to drop off all your bags and possessions at a friend's tent before entering the arena ? And then go and collect them after the arena closes ?

2. With a day-ticket, is it possible to go to all of the night-time events such as the small DJ tents held around the camping ground (Leeds) ? Or do you have to leave as soon as the arena closes ?

3. I know it's not allowed but is it possible to sleep in a friend's tent at night ? I have ZERO intention of sneaking into the arena the next day or even hanging around just in the camp site all day, it would just make travelling home alot easier the next morning

Thankyou, any answers would be greatly appreciated :P

And if i said to drop off my bags ?

Do you think they'd be ok with that ?

Obviously the best thing to do would be to ask the security BEFORE leaving the arena

Or just get my friends to drop off/collect my bags for me

Can I just ask if you are planning to stay just for the day which you have payed for then surely you don't need bags. If it was me I would just need me my left hand to hold my beer and my right hand to hold my fag. Pocket full of fags and my wallet and well you're sorted for day.

Well since the only way in to the arena is through the campsite at Leeds anyway, of course you can get in with a day ticket. Youll have to go through a campsite gate to get in from the car parks and get your wristband in the first place. You should be able to come and go throughout the day as well if you want to drop off bags or whatever cos you have full access for that day.

When you leave the arena at the end of that night, you wont be checked, cos you need to go out that way to get out to the car parks anyway.

You then run the risk of being checked that night in the campsite if you want to stay and enjoy the fun, though to be honest, if its still technically that day you might be ok. The next day youd definitely be asked to leave if you had the day befores wristband, but since youre planning to go anyway it wont be a problem for you.

So yeah youll almost definitely be fine, and definitely coming and going in the day.

i have a reading saturday ticket and am staying overnight with weekender mates and then leaving in the morning as I cant really get home otherwise. If i encounter any security who have a problem with that then I will just explain the situation politely and it will be fine. If you do the same you should be ok

OK - people are worrying you unnecessarily. You will have no issues whatsoever doing this. You could stay in the campsite the whole weekend if you wanted to. I have been going to Leeds for the past 10 years and neither me or my mates have ever had our wristbands checked coming out of the Arena into the campsite or in the campsite itself.

Don't worry, you'll be fine. The only thing that would raise suspicion is if you brought a tent with you on a day ticket.

Obviously there will be the whole moral argument of whether you should benefit from camping when you only have bought a day ticket, but if you're just staying the night to party and to make it easier for your travelling, then I have no problem with it.

indeed, there should be no trouble with getting into the campsite.

as for bringing a tent/sleeping bag etc, it might be an idea to get your friends to bring it into the campsite either before you arrive, or you could meet them outside the site and offload the luggage to them to make you look less suspicious.

and yeh, i have no moral objection to somebody wanting to stay the night and partying, day ticket prices cost quite a bit too these days! oh and as long as you dont steal my stuff :P

If you're planning on going into the campsite after the bands, as others have said I'd get a mate to take your stuff in then head into the campsite after the bands finish, just try not to attract any attention yourself. :P
