craig-g
In no particular order 1. Muse 2001 - headliners second stage in support of their 2nd (and best in my opinion) album origin of symmetry. 2. Super Furry Animals 2003 - awesome band live always. 3. Queens Of The Stoneage 2003 - incredible. 4. Foo Fighters 2003 - on the cusp of headline status. 5. The Strokes 2004 - a little surprised how well their headline set went, brilliant. 6. Oasis 2005 - great finish to a fantastically sun soaked weekend. 7. Snow Patrol 2004 - superb in mid afternoon in the blazing sunshine, a proper festival moment. 8. Ian Brown 2005 - headlining jjb tent & performing roses tracks for first time solo. 9. The Charlatans 2006 - great festival band. 10. Kasabian 2007 - amazing in front of a huge crowd, anthem after anthem.

philius1975
1 ) the verve V98 (they were at the height of their powers, and so much better than their return a few years back) 2) Robbie Williams V98 (we all thought he was a twat, but by the time he'd done his set, you realised he was something special) 3) James Brown V98 and V99 (the godfather of soul, nuff said) 3) Coldplay V2000, (before they were massive, people that knew music flocked to the MTV stage) 4) Fat Boy Slim V2009, (he took us all on a journey of dance music, through troughs and peaks of energy!) 5) The Chmiocal Brothers V2005 (i was so pilled up and on the front row, having it large) 6) the Kaiser Chiefs (soooo many people piled towards the 2nd stage) there are others, but they were my favs
philius1975
1. Manics (2002) - only saw them cause Travis pulled out, just brilliant 2. Strokes (2004) 3. Faithless (2004) - late afternoon spot and the most rammed I'd ever seen the main stage at that time of the day 4. Kasabian (2006) - cant wait for them this year 5. Foos (2007) - both sets (especially the acoustic one as 606) 6. Human League (2004) - went to watch 15 mins for nostalgia sake and ended up there for their whole set missing Keane in the process 7. Phonics (2008) - so much better than Muse who followed(who really disappointed me as I thought they were ace at Wembley) 8. Ting Tings (2007) - friend told me to watch them as he said they were going to be big 9. Paulo Nutini (2006) - a good fun set 10. Aqualung (2004) - a lovely chilled afternoon In no particular order the above but the worst by far have been the KOL both times - excellent albums but they are just wasted on stage all the time ..........oh!! they're playing this year....bollox. Cydonia_90
Well i've been going since '06 so.... 1. MUSE (2008) - Utterly incredible. One of the best night's of my life. 2. RADIOHEAD (2006) - I was 15 at the time and seeing these guys was a highlight. Stunning. 3. FOO FIGHTERS (2007) - Crazy and just unforgettable. Never been in a crowd at V as mental as that one. Had someone land on my head during "All My Life" and my neck hurt for about a week, but it was damn worth it! 4. FAITHLESS (2006) - Amazing. Insomnia was awesome at the end. I remember this set very well. Looking forward to these guys very much this year. 5. KASABIAN (2007) - Lost my phone during this set, but what the heck. They should've headlined that year! So good, cant wait for them this year. 6. SNOW PATROL (2009) - Didnt really like them before i saw them, but by about 11pm that night, my opinion had changed. Worthy headliners. And i dont like Oasis. 7. PENDULUM (2009) - Mosh pits galore with this one. Absolutely ballistic crowd, the crowd was nearly on a par with the Foos performance for crazyness. Awesome! 8. THE STREETS (2009) - Really, really good. Great crowd as well, just a shame we wont be seeing these guys again. 9. STEROPHONICS (2008) - They were on top form, and set the scene for Muse who followed them just afterwards. 10. THE WOMBATS (2007) - Browsing their Myspace days before their performance, i decided to pop into the Virgin Union tent and see them with a few mates. They put on an amazing show! They then went on to be fairly big. Great afternoon. I'm only going to the Sunday at Chelmsford this year but it still should be rad. Cant wait!
