Blonde question !

We're (hopefully) borrowing a cv this year. I know you're not allowed glass anywhere on site so we will clear out the glass wear before we leave home - but does this also count for crockery too? Do I need to take all the plates/mugs out too and replace them with camping plastic ones ?

The first year I went I had some glass pint pots confiscated, so now I remove all the glasses and take plastic cups. However, they have never bothered with crockery. They do take sharp knives though

I had an argument about this, they were confiscating axes and saws etc, yet there was a stall in the festival bloody selling them!!

I have proper plates and mugs in ours, we no longer have any glass jars in there as this makes it easier so just a case of removing the drinking glasses! They are on the look out for bottles more than anything though so just rememer to decant everything into plastic.

it can be a bit tiresome when overzealous security try to confiscate out knives, axes, machetes and chainsaws. they always see sense in the end.

Actually they are being overzealous and are just doing what the festvail tell them to do.

I wouldn't blame the security blame GFL as they make no distinction on searches at the Pedestrian gates and searches coming into the campervan fields.

Howver, if they where being over zealous they could easily have everyone waiting for 20 minutes, and consider getting sniffer dogs in Lets face it searches are not as thorough as they could be.
