BrickByBoringBriick
Last year I remember some festivals putting more tickets on sale june time Does V do this?
farewellandgoodnight
Doubtful. As far as I know it's only really Glasto that has resales from returned tickets. People with spare V tickets have no need to seek a refund as they can sell their spares on ebay. There're no anti touting measures at the other festivals so even if fans don't buy em all the touts will. There's a bunch of arseholes selling V weekend tickets for about £270 on ebay if you can stretch to that. Flaminglippy
They've done it every year for about the last 4 or 5...a couple of times each year. Just a matter of checking every hour to see! Edited May 5, 2010 by Flaminglippy
percybigun
i have spoke to seetickets who said they normally have some batches of returns which get periodically released, but this year they are fully allocated and no more will be getting released. ticketmaster and whoever else may have returns but its not looking good, ebay or touts it is then. percybigun
How did you contact see tickets? looking at there website before they have added the weekend + camping = sold out bit to the weekend and camping link whereas it only had campervan tickets before this could be a sign of imminent resale? PunkyKillick
i emailed their theatre sales email address and asked for it to be passed on to the correct department. i wont be wasting any time looking on seetickets, ticketmaster or whatever now i've had it from the horses mouth that no more are to be sold. percybigun
i've just seen one go on ebay for £233, and it had an end time at 1.39pm (which is normally a dead end time) and the seller only had 12 feedback so could quite easily pull a flanker. going rate for single tickets from touts on ebay seems to be around £255. jeez! Little Andy
So then ... with official tickets seemingly now gone (?), what do people think is the best, cheapest, and safest tactic to get tickets? Ebay? Viagogo? Scarlet Mist? Is it best to buy ASAP, or in August?

smashpopbang
this is the first year i've actually brought my ticket on the day the came out. the last 3 years i brought my ticket from see tickets in june/july
percybigun
i can almost guarantee if i turn up on the day to buy a ticket from a tout, the going rate will be sky high or there will be none left. i think demand is alot higher this year due to the line-up being stronger, and people are generally more flush than last year. sjc0102
I had a mate turn up Saturday morning last year to Chelmsford and got it for £170 from a tout at the gate, he had been scammed on ebay!I managed to get about 6 last year from different places, some from here, a couple from scarletmist, all those were face value, also got 2 from seatwave but paid about 200 each for them, prices seem to be much higher this year. We need 6 again this year and going to wait until as late as possible as prices will start to come down.
