I've been really ambivalent about this WC, but then watched that thing on the tely yesterday about World Cup shocking moments, not a very good programme at all, but made me realise how much of my life has been marked out in World Cup's, and I've ssrt of started looking forward to it again now. I know that come next week, I'll end up staying up to al hours watching brilliant, ridiculous matches. Not interested in England really, just want to watch a load of brilliant football, and get all exctied about it again, like a 10 year old.

A bit of a plug, we're doing twatball, it's like fantasy football, but you get points for players & teams being dicks and doing daft things.

Well it depends on the severity of the problem, but IF they can call a replacement in (and I'm not 100% on that) I would imagine that Dawson would have a chance as one of those omitted from the 23?

Hmm not good news, but not entirely surprising. There is always a bloody injury before the world cup.

Hopefully its just a precaution.

If he's done his ligaments as they seem to think, that's him right out of the tournament.

As someone's said, that's England's chances improved.

i thought him but wasn't sure if he was defence or midfield.

but i think it's a bit foolish to be pleased that rio is injured. unless youre a temporary algerian of course

Cool - thought that was the case.

I have to admit that Ferdinand was a worry for me. I would be FAR more comfortable with King or Carragher at the back with Terry.
