Beasely was a good player at rangers, but like you said Scottish football isnt the place for someone like him. Too weak on the ball, when you've got football giants like Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Hamilton kicking you every time you get the ball. Just didn't look interested.

Suprised Maurice Edu doesn't get a game for them though.

Ah yes, that towering defender who was given a trial at the Boro, knocked back, went to Newcastle, got given the boot there and went back to Standard Liege.

Bizarrely, he's now warming the reserves bench at Milan.

This is the Slovenia squad:

Goalkeepers: Samir Handanovic (Udinese), Jasmin Handanovic (Mantova), Aleksander Seliga (Sparta Rotterdam)

Defenders: Miso Brecko (FC Cologne), Bostjan Cesar (Grenoble), Branko Ilic (Lokomotiv Moscow), Matej Mavric-Rozic (Koblenz), Bojan Jokic (Chievo), Marko Suler (Ghent), Suad Filekovic (NK Maribor), Elvedin Dzinic (NK Maribor)

Midfielders: Andraz Kirm (Wisla Krakow), Robert Koren (Unattached), Valter Birsa (AJ Auxerre), Andrej Komac (Maccabi Tel Aviv), Dalibor Stevanovic (Vitesse Arnhem), Aleksander Radosavljevic (Larissa), Rene Krhin (Inter Milan)

Strikers: Milivoje Novakovic (FC Cologne), Zlatko Dedic (VfL Bochum), Zlatan Ljubijankic (Ghent), Nejc Pecnik (Nacional Funchal), Tim Matavz (Groningen).

Is there anyone there who you'd say was particularly good?

Robert Koren had a decent season for West Brom, Rene Krhin is a bench warmer at Inter, other than that I'm not sure.

No he didn't. He's not been offered a new deal so is basically a free agent after the tournament- he didn't work hard enough to warrant keeping on, and most Boggies fans are sick to death of him and think he's a lazy bastard.

He did okay for them in previous seasons, but he didn't do much at all last season.

Whether or not his predicament means he plays his heart out to get noticed in order to win a contract somewhere I don't know, but he's certainly nothing to get too worried about on last season's form.

Yeah, I think I'm basing that on the season before when he scored against us - we usually don't play West Brom two seasons in a row.

AWESOME. I can't wait mate - it's going to be a brilliant Glasto moment. And think about it - I'll be watching the game on Wednesday - I expect there will be a lot more tuneless buffoons ruining it then!!

oh yeah, he'll be singing it after Wednesday, won't he.

So the sing-a-long will be "we're coming home, we're coming home, England's coming home". :P
