I haven't played football now for about 10 years... I was out shopping at Cheshire oaks for some new walking shoes for my little trip and I found myself in the football boot section for some reason. I had a quick look at the boots and I was shocked to see how flimsy they are. They are awful and would reck someones foot. No protection and awful moulded things.

Its not wonder we see so many messed up players wearing those bloody things. The kids ones where just as bad!! Its not good....

As a United fan, bitterly disappointed for Nani and Rio. Can't wish it on anyone, similar with Drogba, Robben etc. Probably would've been Rio and Drog's last World Cup aswell given their ages.

Quite possibly, same with Chelsea. Few Utd fans saying that it's a good thing club wise as allows them to rest for pre-season, but they're still gonna be working pretty hard to recuperate, get through physio etc and always the chance of recurring injuries from it.

Prefer to have the big players at the World Cup rather than not anyways.

The number of players involved in long seasons with champions league football that are suffering injuries before the world cup is worrying.

Yep, it is coincidence.

Where there is supposedly an a certain issue is with the Prem, where it's supposedly proven that the lack of winter break means greater injuries for Prem players. However, nothing with that can take into proper account whether those greater injuries might in fact be due to the more physical style of game that's played here.
