So the like of Van Nistlerooy and Ronaldinhio (and beckham) are not making this years world cup.

I think this will be the last world cup for many of the old guard too.

Shame we have to endure another world cup with Heskey.

Not sure, Fab is a fan and tried to talk him into joining the team again and I could see Bridge coming into replace him instead of a CB and then leave out Baines & Warnock from the final. Intresting to see what he does now with King & Rio already not 100%.

I'd be happy with Baines though based on when he played for England last time.

How would you think its best to use King, if indeed Terry is ruled out of the whole competition.

Id say play him against USA (our hardest griup game by some way). Then rest him for the Algeria and Slovenia games, as they SHOULD be pretty simple games.

Then, supposing we go all the way, i'd probably:

Pick him for the last 16? (depending on who we get)

Rest for Quarter Final

Then play him in the Semi Final and Final (if he can)

Hes obviously in no fit state to play them all, and this would be resting him in 3 games, and playing him in 4.

Hmmm ... :P
