The funny thing is despite a dreadful start, england are just one decent performance away from topping the group. I think they will narrowly beat slovenia and end up second. Ti me the England players dont look to have the fitness necessary. Yes, seriously. If you're a sportsman or any other job where your performance in front of 10 people or a million people is rated and you put in a shit show people will boo. Rooney reacted how he did because he was pissed off. I'll ask you again - the last time you were really pissed off, how much control did you have over that feeling? The answer is none whatsoever. So why do footballers have to behave in a completely unnatural way? It's why there are rules about managers doing interviews styraight after the match now - people say stuff in the heat of the moment because they react to how they feel inside. The chances are Rooney was more pissed off with himself and just 'lashing' out at an easy target. When that girl you loved dumped you - if Id stuck a camera in front of your face within 10 seconds of it happening, do you reckon you'd have reacted rationally?
