Rooneys clearly not shit, overhyped and overated possibly but he is still englands best hope. The trouble is man utd relied so much on him last season, often bringing him back when not fit, he looks like he needs a rest. True england dont look like world cup winners but did france last tournamnet when they started with draws against switzerland and south korea.

It's not Rooney's fault your mates spent the money. He had a poor game tonight - when you pay to watch a football match you have to allow for that scenario happeneing. In the immediate aftermath of a game, players are gonna be worked up - its the same in any dressing room from England to a sunday league team. Why do we expect perfect behaviour from players?

To be honest Phil i don't see your point. The last time i was really pissed off i wasn't in the England squad playing in front of millions so it's hard to say what i would of done. It's easier to say how someone should react when they are in that kind of position.

Ok. This may take a while to get out. But please bear with me.

Summer 2010. I have never - ever - looked forward to a summer as much as I looked forward to 2010. Brilliant - Glastonbury, the World Cup and you know what? The line up is amazing, the sun is shining and we have a f**king good coach in Capello. This could be bloody amazing.

Well pardon me for feeling as low as can possibly be right now. No - in fact - DON'T. I make no excuse for feeling like this. None. Because I am livid - and there is nothing I could have done, and it's circumstances that I have no control over.

U2 - the act I had down - above ALL else in a pretty stonking line up - as THE must see - pulled out a few weeks back. What can I do about it? NOTHING.

Today's Glasto weather forecast basically says a washout. What can I do about it? NOTHING.

Today's England fixture was a game I - and millions of others - expected to win. Pardon my Anglo-arrogance, but we had every f**king reason to feel expectancy. We were embarrassing. Spineless. Clueless. Disgraceful. What can I do about it? NOTHING.

I apologise to anyone who doesn't support England, who isn't going to Glasto and who hates U2. Because you're probably LOVING all this.

Go on. Chuckle away. Isn't life GREAT for you?!

This summer is my last holiday I can possibly think of having. No - I'm not exaggerating. It is. SO much rides on things being great. Now - my life isn't bad. It's awesome - I love it. But this summer was to finalise many things, it was the end of a lot of things. It was CLOSURE. It seemed to fit that a great Glasto and a World Cup should happen at the same time.

So - if you're having a bit of a chuckle about the above factors, please try and spare a thought for me. Because right now, I am shaking with anger and frustration.

But do you know what REALLY makes it worse? England could still go through. The sun may still shine through.

I stopped drinking at half time. That one action speaks volumes.

1-1 vs USA

0-0 vs Algeria

Need a win against a handy Slovenian side... USA will beat Algeria I am pretty confident about that...

At what point do you think its valid to get on his back ? Although that said, I doubt the players posses the raw quality to play much better although the selections and formations are poor ones...

Not at all on this one - I was only laughing about your reaction on the phone earlier this evening. I just wasn't taking ampersand on comparing things that weren't the same.

Good for you, talking shite about people behind their backs as usual
