Reading Festival 2011

I'd welcome DEP to Reading. People seem to forget, within the last 5 years we've had Slayer, Mastodon, Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, with Slipknot and, although weak to my point, Avenged Sevenfold both booked to play. Reading does have the capability to book heavy acts, which they will hopefully embrace more this year.

I think ADTR suck so bad haha! but yeah I was just surprised DEP was included, I'd much rather see BTBAM but not Protest as much but totally BTBAM would be epic shit. I've taken alot of interest in The Mars Volta lately and would like to see them play. Also it's a shame SikTh aren't together anymore I could see them playing.

Justice are way too big to play third on NME. I know they played there 2008, but I believe that placing was only down to the abnormal strength of that line-up. I can't see them playing that low down again.

Can't see James Blake doing R&L. Would love him too, but think he'd be more suited to Latitude/Glasto etc.

Foals are way too big to play 8th on mainstage. Would be much better in NME but couldn't see them going lower than 5th on mainstage.

Both M.I.A and C&S are too big for FR.

I'm not thrilled with Friday, but Saturday would be awesome with Strokes Pulp and Interpol on top, Death Cab as well. Sunday would also be great, I would watch Coheed up to TCV on the main, check out the National, and then watch Glassjaw in the lock up.

I hope Volta is in a tent if anything

That's the Dance stage, not festival republic. I certainly don't think C&S are too big for dance stage, and MIA could probably squeeze there at a push, up against strong headliners.

I'd probably put Justice above crystal castles actually, you're right. I only put Crystal Castles there as they're headlining the NME tour - really don't think they should be playing four years in a row. I think James Blake might play - NME seem to be loving him and he should be pretty big by Reading/Leeds.

Foals have been on NME last two times, and playing 3rd on NME, probably doesn't equate to too much higher than where they are on Main Stage in my opinion.
