Staggeringly good. Either he is exagerating the headline acts booked or that it could be a different set of headliners than has been rumoured.

Staggeringly good to me would definately rule MCR out as a headliner.

Staggeringly good would suggest that Muse look certain. I'd say Green day would fall into that category. I can't help but feel however that although both very popular with the masses the feeling on these froums is that they have both been around the block a bit in the last few years and people would genrally prefer something else.

An other band that would fit this staggeringly good status are Blur, even though the strokes are very popular I'd much prefer a performance from blur.

Muse / Blur / Green Day looks stronger than Muse / The Strokes / My Chemical Romance.

However that would be the first time ever that all 3 are repeat headliners would it not? So there could also be some left field staggeringly good headliners that have never headlined before. All would be big doubts though.

Led Zeppelin, Beastie Boys, ACDC I can't think of anymore at this minute in time. I bet there is a fair few more.

I think he may just be exagerating.....

or - by far the most likely - he's simply spouting some words to help promote the festival he runs.

I think he may just be exagerating.....

Those would have been the most sensible words to focus your post on. :)

I guess, but i can't imagine he'd let one of his headliners play the second stage at guilfest or anything...:-)

I can't imagine that either.

But I can imagine The Strokes playing a non-headlining slot at Glasto and then headlining R/L. :)

That doesn't mean that's what I'm expecting to happen this year, but it's hardly an outrageous possibility.
