I'm 25, I currently have "Americana", "Dookie", "Insomniac", "Enema of the State", "Keasbey Nights" and "MFZB" on rotation in my car. All top quality pop punk albums. I know a fair number if people who are just as enthusiastic about those bands.

See, I'd completely forgotten they still existed. I dislike The Cure - not hate them, I don't think they're mediocre - I just don't see the point of them anymore. They just seem to be a band who plod along doing nothing out of the ordinary, never changing their sound or making anything sound interesting, evolving into nothing new and then making the occasional appearance in Paris just to play <i>'Galore'</i> to a bunch of arty farty French Jazz fans and heroin addicts - then releasing the video of it.

I don't hate them at all - I have about 9 or 10 of their albums in my record collection, and a load of singles - I just think they're... well, they're like a really shit cheddar. You know, like, you give it 20 or 30 years to age and mature, let the bacteria culture and give it a unique taste, and then open it up to taste it only to discover that inside it amongst the little bacteria you have somehow managed to create a micro-civilisation who have evolved to created a tiny, miniature, microscopic, cheese-based version of this entire planet - just really disappointing.

Muse say they're taking a break after this current tour, so I'd say they're unlikely. I'm going with something like My Chemical Romance, The Strokes and Green Day. Wouldnt be suprised to see a new headliner like Kaiser Chiefs or somebody instead of either GD or Strokes though.

yea thinking about it again, i reckon

Friday - Foo Fighters and Pendulum

Saturday - The Strokes and Interpol

Sunday - Green Day and My Chemical Romance

NME tent - Florence and The Machine on Friday and The Maccabees on Sunday, both headlining after new 2011 albums. White Lies somewhere high up after a second album. And someone more heavy like Pendulum this year to clash with The Strokes on Saturday night

Friday - Greenday, Lostprophets

Saturday - Kasabian, The Strokes

Sunday - Foo Fighters, The Prodigy? (Not sure if they'll be taking a break after this festival season?)

NME

Friday - MGMT

Saturday - The Gaslight Anthem

Sunday - Bombay Bicycle Club? (If their status is big enough to headline)

Anyway, just a wonderful guess at how it might be next year.

Hmm strokes headlining or second from top, they could easily be in either slots

as to someone heavier I'd say not pendulum headlining nme again, bullet for my valentine would be a good shout -they've done really well this year

edit: also why do people think lost prophets will be moving up the line up by next year - I can't see them doing anything between now and then to credit this, and r&l have seen them way too many times
