New Arcade Fire Album?

Does anyone know when the new Arcade Fire album's due to be released?

With it being a risk for the festival I'd of thought they'd try and promote the album and make Arcade Fire really popular in time for the festival but I haven't heard a thing about it

In fact, has anyone heard any real info about the album?

New single expected in the next couple of weeks, I'm sure it'll all build up from there...

The album is supposed to be released sometime in the 2nd half of this year (Not sure when exactly).

Don't worry, by the time it comes round, it will be all over NME and on Radio1 I would expect.

Why would they advertise now for an album due to come out in a few months?

I'd of thought that they'd try and get Arcade Fire to be the biggest band of the summer in time for the festival, and I didn't expect like advertising, more just starting to build up a bit of hype about it.

Arcade Fire have never been known for publicity, I really hope this continues.

The thought of them being considered the biggest band of the summer makes me cringe.

I can't see the new album being overly publicised, I'd hate to see them go the Kings of Leon route.

Tbh I was just a bit worried that they'd do an Arctic Monkeys and play a load of new stuff which hasn't been brought out in time and ruin the set.

Can't see them being the new version of K.O.L. as I know barely anyone else whos a fan :/

(Hence why I've heard absolutely nothing about the new album)

I don't think there is anything to worry about with the setlist when they brought out Neon bible it didn't over shadow Funeral at their shows I think they played six from each in 2007 at reading and leeds add another six from the new record you have a headlining sized set list.

Id be happy for them if they finally reached the heights i think they deserve. Not to mention the money.

The first one sounds catchy. Reminds me of Bright eyes, Cassadaga era. The second one, (month of may was it called?) sounds fantastic. Reminds me of Qotsa
