I've resigned myself to not affording a holiday this summer (was planning a month in Thailand you see), so I might console myself with a European festival.

Nearly went to Benicassim a few years back but ended up not going. I've fancied Roskilde for a while, anyone been?

I am tempted by the Pukkelpop line up though.

not really abroad but heading down to london in august for the SOUTHWEST 4 festival! Line up is immense! Also will be heading to I LOVE TECHNO in belgium again for the 3rd year running.

Might check out the Lowlands festival in Holland next year, Ive heard great reports about it but you have to be quick on the button as the festival sold out at the end of February this year.

Exit in Serbia is also meant to be good, wanted to go last two years but people getting married keep fking up my summers.

My mate went to Benicassim, she said she really enjoyed it, but the whole camping in Spain during the July wasnt the best

I was planning going abroad but looks like I'm doing a mini Scottish tour of 5 festivals + 2 English lol if I come across a lump sum I may make the effort!

Benicassim 2008, the best festival experience I have had yet.I had highly recommend it ! I was considering Sziget in Hungary this year,but its still in the planning stages.

I just got my ticket for Pukkelpop yesterday, never been before, wanted to go for a few years now though.

It's meant to be amazing.

Got a Ryanair flight for £33 return to Brussels from Prestwick... Bargain.

Tickets and flights worked out cheaper than a T in the Park ticket alone. (Wouldn't be hard).

Can't wait.

Are you not taking any bags?

Me & Poleski were looking at the ryanair flights last night as well, was £25.99 return or something like that but once you add 1 bag it was £40 per bag & if you are camping you will need a bag as well as hand luggage cause nobody could fit a tent bag into hand luggage as well as all your clothes etc.

I've been to I Love Techno in belgium 3 times, Timewarp in Germany 3 times, and Monegros Desert Festival in Spain once.

Would defo recommend Monegros!

I've been to Sonar twice (2007 & 2008) and it was definitely worth it. Lazing on the beach during the day and then heading out to the festival arena at night. Really good atmosphere, great crowd and amazing acts. Would love to go back again this year but I'm broke : (

Has anyone been to Sziget Festival in Budapest,Hungary? I would really like to go, it sounds such an amazing experience.. Does anyone have any advice/tips etc? It looks like its going to take a fair amount of preparation!

I'd love to go to a festie abroad, always fancied Lowlands, Beni or Exit.
