armthehomeless
Seems like this is the right place for this: http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/uncategorized...dead-1972-2010/ It's as if they're dropping like flies atm. Slipknot will be less without him RIP
Dan R
R.I.P. Paul Gray I'm glad I got to see them last year, they were amazing Yet more tragic news
luckysalt
Shocking news. No reason yet I see, 38 man, thats still so young. Just awful.
bekimo
I am absolutely devastated at this news. Just gutted. I feel a bit sick that people are asking Andy Copping if Stone Sour will still be at DL already. Some people have no respect.
Matticus
awful. Think that may be the end of Slipknot. A band based on image (masks) will not be the same with a new member. R.I.P

Spengs Muck
I doubt Corey and Jim will be at Download too, One thing about slipknot is that they were always a close knit family whether they were at each others throats or not. two weeks after the death of someone youve been that close too for over ten years doesnt seem like you'd be ready to perform. Sad to see one of them taken so early in life. They were truely brilliant last year. R.I.P Edited May 25, 2010 by Spengs Muck

WildChildRockChick
RIP Paul Gray. Far, far too young. So sad, I've seen them a few times now, working up the bill at Download and so on, right up to last year's amazing performance. There has been too many of these RIP's recently. :¬( Agree with Spengs Muck, they may have been at each other's throats as a band but they were very close. If it were me I wouldn't be able to show up at Download only two weeks later. Fair play to them if they do - but complete sympathy if they don't. metalman
Its a sad day for the band R.I.P Paul another member to the great gig in the sky far to many new members lately. I hope the Knot can carry on after this but there are very close as friends and i think it'll be some time before we hear from any of the band. I hope Copping does something to commemorate No2's death as for some fans at DL this year it will mean more that the death of Dio.

bekimo
Maybe it's Dimebag's doing, maybe he's been tasked with forming a kick-ass band to tour the afterlife: Afterlife tour 2010 Valhalla: 15/06 Nirvana: 17/06 Purgatory: 19/06 Limbo: 22/06 The River Styx: 25/06 Mount Olympus: 29/06 Sonisphere Hades: 30/06 The Carling Heaven and Hell Festivals 15/07 (Hell) 17/07 (Heaven) I'm bored can anyone tell? kyle s
sad news, semms weird as he was quite yound,at least it got some new coverage though the lack of coverage of dio's death was terible
armthehomeless
It pisses me off to see articles on this, like that in the Guardian written by someone who obviously hasn't the foggiest who the guy is, and decides to concentrate more on the stage antics without bothering to mention the guy's personality, or the fact he was about to become a father. The Mirror's article was very nice though (even if it did keep in a south park joke that was blatantly meant to be edited out )

armthehomeless
It was subtle, but South Park can be the only explanation, unless Al Gore wrote the article that is: A seemingly-possessed bear (pig?) of a man on-stage, he was the archetypal gentle giant off it Edited May 25, 2010 by armthehomeless

tweemo freak
Real sad, the fact that his wife was pregnant just makes it worse): . I hope that people remember him as one of the bes metal icons ever. Organise a local tribute night to him! Also, that thing about the afterlife rock band made me laugh .
