Main things to take besides the obvious:

Take comfortable shoes - Usually the weather has been nice so they will probably be used unless its torrential rain in which case wellies will be required.

Some form of music for the campsite - If your camping with folk then obviously only one person has to take something, but it is a good idea for when you're chilling in the campsite.

A chair - So many folk forget to bring one and quickly regret it. There are usually good deals on chairs at the festival though.

A very warm jacket - yeah its summer but the nights can sometimes get bloody cold. Will help if it rains too.

Cereal bars - good to start the day with or just for a snack. I recommend the coco pops ones. They are bangin'.

Lots of Socks - seriously. Stock up!

put a loo roll in a carrier bag and a pair of socks cause if it's torrential rain (TITP 2000 woke up in a puddle, rucksack was pressed against the side of the tent and the rain leaked in) you might get get flooded out so at least u can still wipe yer arse and have dry socks to go home in lol

Baby wipes are always on my essential list!

I like getting several of the smaller packets to carry around the festival with me and a jumbo pack to leave at the tent.

I've never used dry shampoo before but this year I'll think I'll treat myself :P

i went to superdrug today and they didn't have any shimmery dry shampoo :P

they have different scented ones and coloured ones for dark hair but no shimmer.

i sprayed a wee bit of the diva one on my hand and it wasn't white and powdery like the other ones, it was just a clear spray. that's much better.
