ska_4_life
Hmmmm. All the hype has disapointed me now haha! Alkaline trio = Was Hoping they would Sub and we'd get anouther sick band. Sick of it All = We already knew and yay Against me!= not a huge fan but wont mind seeing them Hatebreed = Nice additition - supprised they are so low though, have thier became that unpopular? Streetlight = Yay - though they have played the festival, or i seen them at a gig nearly every year now This is Hell = Just spotified, sound okay could get into them before festy. The rest I wont be seeing as I shall be on Mainstage till after NoFX (I may miss this is Hell too) Actually, Billy Talent should clash with the skints, so i shall deff be there toooo Bad religion = yay. The Get Up Kids = Clash with libertines which is annoying me. Cancerbats = Never got into :/ Zebrahead = yay. Crime in stereo = meh RX bandits = Goody, but not that excited. Off With Their Heads = I am quite looking forward too. Cant be bothered with the rest of the sat all meh. Clashes wont be that bad it seems. Are we expecting 2 more bands to be added on sat? there is a Lack of ska this year. No Lagwagon or NUFAN. No Me Frist. No capdown (Yet, still keeping fingers crossed!). EDIT: Dance tent was anounced too? Looks pretty weak personally. Well... the Bands i'd see are: Chiddy Bang Holy f**k HEALTH Japanese Popstars Roots Manuva Magnetic Man Metronomy All of which will probs clash. May have to step back from the Dance this year. Except Mentronomy > Paramore. Edited May 25, 2010 by ska_4_life
she bangs the drums
All a bit disappointing to me as well, Alkaline Trio are just not my thing (I don't look good with black nails) though I do think they deserve to be headliners I was hoping for NOFX or Rancid like I do every year so I'm still looking for someone to see as headliners on the Sunday (Leeds) I don't want to Axl and Friends ruin my memories of the real Guns n Roses and I've never got into LCD Soundsystem. I'm not sure that many of the bands announced on the Sunday (Leeds) will get me to move from the main stage.
tohellweride
After seeing that I am glad I didn't get a ticket. Personally that is a pretty damn weak lock up this year. The dance tent (if that is the line up) is also very weak when compared to last year. The only bands I'm arsed about are Hatebreed and Sick of it All (seen both of them this year already) and Zebrahead and Cancer Bates who are at Download. I'm actually quite shocked at how poor it is! sjp_121
Not a huge fan of Bad Religion tbh... so I'm still stuck with Arcade Fire/Pendulum problem. Goddamnit Other than that... there's a few bands that will probably tempt me over there... Streetlight Manifesto and Zebrahead being the main two
Keva
Distinct lack of ska
wheres the mudfight
really happy with Alkaline Trio, Against Me! and Bad Religon. Friday is just about the best day in the history of me at Reading now. even thought I love Alkaline trio, I'm surprised they're headlining. they were 2nd a couple of years ago and aren't any bigger. Always great though. means I can probably do a Against Me! Sick of it all Alkaline trio to finish friday. Rancid above Trio would have been perfect. got to be another band added saturday? Dance tent looks weak to me might have to go see Paramore Edited May 25, 2010 by wheres the mudfight
wheres the mudfight
other than the Headliners only really bothered by RX bandits, Zebrahead and streetlight. happy but not over the moon (exept headliners) and no big suprises?
Jailbreak
Hmmm Very happy about Bad religion, but was already having trouble deciding between Pendulum and Arcade fire, so this just makes that a bit harder lol.
steleeds2009
I seem to remember Mike Davis saying they were 24 bands playing. I count only 22. Did he announce on the show that 2 more bands would be announced at a later date?
Dropkick Murphy
There were 12 each day last year. Only 10 so far announced on one day. Disappointed really. I think that's mainly 'cos I was half expecting No Use for a Name and Lagwagon to be playing The main one's for me are Bad Religion, Alkaline Trio and Against Me and two of those I'm seeing at Slam Dunk this weekend:\
Atterz123
no shocks, lack of ska, no rancid, no real big names. It's shit this year, one of the worst for a long time. don't bother with lock up, just buy a slam dunk ticket and go to a few low grade gigs and you have all this and more
Lithium05
I like it, but would prefer the days were swapped round. Looks like Streetlight might clash with NOFX, Hatebreed with Lostprophets/Biffy, and I was planning on watching GNR, but would like to see Alkaline Trio too.... Only band on the Saturday I really like are Zebrahead, can anyon recommend some Get-up kids songs to try out? Will definately watch Bad Religion, Im a fan, just prefer Alkaline Trio. Lithium05
Shit just realised - are Zebrahead gonna clash with Serj?
Dropkick Murphy
OK, I'm still hopeful NUFAN and Lagwagon will play. There's 2 places left on one of the days and I reckon these 2 will fill it. They announced on Myspace they were coming over in August to play shows and festivals together. I reckon they'll be announced after they've sold some tickets for their gigs. According to a MySpace bulletin posted by No Use For A Name, the band plans to head to Europe with Lagwagon in July and August for some festivals and shows. No dates confirmed yet, but we'll keep you posted. The band also noted that Tony Sly has been writing songs for the next NUFAN album as well as a new solo record. More details are expected soon, but both records are expected out in 2011.
