RichieParf
They are allowed to get popular you know I think they're a god addition, I liked their new album as much as the previous ones. There's no real difference in the sound, people just go apeshit when an alternative band becomes popular, need to get over themselves really! RichieParf
Bollocks. The amount of 'lovey dovey' songs on Save the World Get the Girl outweighs the raw folk/punk sound which first got me into them. Their new single 'Headbutt' is just a generic pop-song in the style of Jamie T. If they were still playing music like that I'd still love them regardless of how popular they became. My favourite band of all time is Green Day. I first started listening to them in the mid-90s and they must be one of the biggest bands in the world right now and I still love them. Lithium05
They do still play a few off the first album live though, I saw them play a short set in Camden last year and they played Blood on My Hands, Mr Music Man, Taking Over and at least one more that escapes my memory, and it was the same for the longer set at Shepherds Bush last month. Dropkick Murphy
I'll still go see them in the hope of older songs being played. I just don't like the direction they are heading now - I can't help but feel they're doing it just for more success. Which is fair enough, as at the end of the day its a career and they need to put food on the table etc. I'm just sad they are diversing from their roots. j...rox
One of the few new additions that actually excites me. Sunday Reading had better deliver in FR, otherwise will be in the alternative tent all day I think.

Ice Fatality
I'm torn with King Blues. Adore the first album, and do still love STWGTG, but can't help feeling they're moving away from their activism, and taking the success that they can, sort of intensified with the whole Fruitbag fiasco. As for their 'poppier' sound. I know a lot of people who pretty much just listen to Radio 1, as the be-all and end-all. A lot of them have been going on about this 'f*cking awful' track on there, that's turned out to be Headbutt, to which I've shown them stuff off the first album, and pretty much everyone has loved those tracks. therefused
Oh I didn't mean it like that, its just one of those bands i've never followed, seen pop up from nowhere, and then not really thought much of them (bit like Gaslight Anthem) Anyway, as I though, not above Thrice

Nathan113
Absolute sellouts and the lead singer is an arsehole, their music is alright though I might go see them.
