anyone ever worked for oasis carnival at glasto?

What day do you get to go into the festival site if working for oasis?

Not sure ya see and if so, on the tuesday could we set up camp there on tuesday?

if they tell you to arrive on the Tuesday then of course you will have access to your staff campsite.

There is many crews arriving long before that although I myself will be arriving Tuesday afternoon but I am not connected to oasis carnival

by the way if you look at the site the info is there.

General Items Camping is supplied at our own camp site on the edge of the festival this site is open from Saturday before the festival to midnight on the Monday after the festival and all shifts will start from this assembly point. The site is based at RVP 1 about 1/2 mile up the hill from Red Gate. the is catering on our site for staff, and the area is manned 24hrs a day for the period of the festival. There are toilet blocks and water on site, but please remeber this is a working site while your resting others are sleeeping, so no loud music etc. Also absolutely no camp fires. There is also car parking on this camp site and you will be given passes to staff car parks, which are adjacent to festival entrance gates.we run a zero tolerance on drugs and alcahol wilst working for OASIS.

If you DO get a chance to camp in the public campsites on Tuesday night then you will feel pretty special - you'll have the pick of the entire site.

I had a walk round there last year and it was great to see all the camping fields in completely pristine condition, with no tents apart from a few of the police thief-capture tents dotted around. I stayed in the staff camping area, but it would have been great to go to sleep in an empty, quiet field and then be woken up by the first happy punters arriving with their mountains of gear.

I worked for them in 2004, pretty much the same experience as the last post, tickets on Thursday afternoon, didn't bother moving camp, just stayed on site and mooched back to shower and kip, wasn't too much of a drag.

They are a nice lot. We had people popping round throughout the shifts with tea and sarnies and the rest of the gang were nice, slightly disorganised but they've been doing it a while so that's just a part of it I guess.

All in all a nice way to see most of the festy for free.
