MossIcon
Gah... I thought it was bad before today, having Blink 182 and Klaxons clash, but now Roots Manuva and Skream (in Magnetic man) is too much. Coupled with that I like none of the other headliners on any other day, (well alkaline trio a bit but I only know a few songs), its dreadful even though they actualli have booked a lot of my fave bands... just in the worst places... And if Bombay BC headline the FR tent on the same day, i may just have to kill myself... Sorry i just needed to vent so anyway... What's your worst clash now the line-ups nearly complete? And will you see both or force yourself to choose?
Keva
Alkaline Trio/Guns N Roses for me. I'm old enough to realise its only a tribute band but, GNR (in name + Axl) are still a massive rock act. May have to see half and half. Already missing them for Capdown at Slam Dunk :/ Edited May 25, 2010 by Keva
ap3311
Absolutely gutted about Alkaline Trio. If they were on the Saturday I'd be in dreamland, would have been incredible.
KingOfTheRodeo
Arcade Fire & Bad Religion and The Cribs & Frank Turner. was really hoping for BR on the Friday night at Reading as im not too fussed about GnR, will probs see Alkaline Trio. At the moment I think I'm gonna go with Arcade Fire and Frank Turner but will probably depend on the mood i am in on the day. j...rox
QOTSA vs Phoenix and Mumford is about the only one. Would have liked to see Weezer however Band of Horses is a total must for me.
Dave The Hedgehog
Friday - So far, absolutely nobody. Lovely stuff. Saturday - Saturday is fairly irritating. See, I despise Limp Bizkit but I think they're a band who can get a lot of people going and getting riled up (which is always good) and they're on at the same time as Four Tet, who are also on at the same time as The Drums. Will miss the end of Cypress Hill's set if I go to see Band of Horses but luckily as they're playing I'll catch the end of Weezer's set - and let's face it, half of us will only be there for 'Buddy Holly' anyway. After that it'll be Foals then a piss-up back at the tent... unless I change my mind and decide to see Hayley WIlliams. Not Paramore - they're a shit band - just Hayley. Sunday - I'm spending almost all of Sunday in the NME tent until Guns n Roses come on. I wouldn't miss them for the world. Sunday is looking good. So yeah, it's just Saturday for me. That's just one great big f**k off clash. EDIT: Forgot, Health and Los Campensinos might be on at the same time so that would also be shit. rockinthecasbah
So far very few really. Missing whoever out of Foals and Band of Horses clashes with Weezer will be a bit disappointing, though I've been waiting to see Weezer for years, so I'll get over that quickly enough. And it looks unlikely that I'll see Metronomy. The FR stage might throw up a clash or two, but there's nothing so far I'm gutted I'll be missing. sjp_121
WOO NO MODEST MOUSE AND 3OH!3 CLASH! Oh wait... now they clash with Gaslight Anthem. Bugger.
El4d
The way I see clashes, especially with people who cant decide which band to see as they dont really love any of them, like myself with GnR/Alkaline Trio/Lcdsoundsystem, is which am I getting my money's worths for? Gnr.. £80 ticket for an arena/stadium gig, LCD... £20 accademy ticket, Alkaline Trio... £15 accademy 2 ticket. Hence, I'll be at GnR!
