Dave, I'm sorry, but am I the only person thats noticed that you have brought up "Radio One's Big Weekend" when talking about festivals, as if its something solid to base festival facts on? Its a free gig, funded by the most mainstream radio station in the country, with Rihanna and Florence and The Machine as headliners. Thats nothing to brag about in every post you submit.

Dave, I'm sorry, but am I the only person thats noticed that you have brought up "Radio One's Big Weekend" when talking about festivals, as if its something solid to base festival facts on? Its a free gig, funded by the most mainstream radio station in the country, with Rihanna and Florence and The Machine as headliners. Thats nothing to brag about in every post you submit.

Ok "Dave", but the point you've mentioned about it being riddled with "supremely idiotic people ", would leave you understanding that I could have well thought you were a similar individual, who gets a first earful of "Starry eyed" and then thinks they have embraced the world of new music. Then believes they rise above the mainstream crowds after listening to something outside the Top 40 and then litters festival forums with the opening title, "When i was at the Big Weekend..."

I appreciate the fact that festivals are a great place to investigate new music and although the Big Weekend may be a more economically convienent way to do so. It may not be the be the best example to give in a forum if you want to be taken seriosuly, when you know the stereotypical twats who go there.
