Suddenly struck me last night that i remember seeing them on the main stage and they played one or two new songs, which I remember thinking were really good, anyone remember or know if the new songs they played then are on their new album?

I could be wrong, but I don't think they starte playing anything off the new album until summer 2008, and then it was just "it's not the end of the world".

When did Liberation Transmission come out? It might have been from that album.

At Reading 2007 the only new one they played was "Next Stop Atro City" which did indeed make it onto the album, albeit the song wasn't exactly the same back then.

Yeah they played one new song on the mainstage in 2007 (their set was preceeded by a monumental bottle fight in the crowd - madness). Obviously they took their time actually releasing the album.
