mjsell
Ok, so every year one of the best things for me about reading (or leeds) is the unknown smaller bands that I havent ever heard anything from that i get listening to. If they impress me then i will consider buying their album(s) as its these smaller bands that need the money. Last year I began listening to a few bands that i hadnt heard before such as danananakroyd (even though they were terrible live), Manchester Orchestra (definately not terrible live ), the virgins, hockey, golden silvers, bombay bicycle club etc etc Now I know that the FR stage hasnt been announced yet so we dont know a lot of the smaller bands that are playing but was just wondering who you were giving a chance to and who you are considering going to see because of what you have heard so far. For me ive been listening to Los Campesinos, Miike snow, the king blues and surfer blood. And am waiting for the FR stage to listen to a few more. It doesnt matter what type of music (for me it is more indie and rock), which smaller bands have grabbed your attention?

systm
more subject related, i'd definitely want to see Girls, they're cool. I'd love to see Two door cinema club as well, but, yeah, gogol wins everytime. then maybe surfer blood or metronomy. I can recommend Band Of Skulls, saw then earlier this year and they're good. scottt
Well, i dont really like any of the bands i'd no heard of, but as more of a recommendation, i plan on seeing Girls, Off with their heads, The Skints and The Walkmen if they count as small. Clemo
Crazy Arm, saw them support Frank Turner and they're a pretty decent band, early start aswell so not too likely to cause clashes, pop along
XrtVra
Miike snows a good choice, liked them for a while now. Some good remixes of their shit knockin about too. Im not really discoverin much on the lineup this year, i keep meaning to listen to frankie and the heartstrings though. I might just spend all of sunday in NME.. except run out for streetlight and maybe gogol
Tristan
On the day I'm going I'll probably check Everything Everything and Band of Skulls (even though they're local, I've managed to somehow avoid them). On the other days, I'd highly recommend Los Campesinos!, Wild Beasts and Metronomy

ska_4_life
Looked up crazy arm - Pretty good, not sure how clashes are gunna look on that day though, I woulkd like to see A day to remember, but Im deff seeing the Skints. If skints clash with ADTR I will probally see Crazy Arm Thanks for that one. Ones I'd reconmend: Band of Skulls - Thier albulm is actually insanly good. RX Bandits or Streetlight Manifesto - A festival is never complete without some Ska. Also Recoment the Skints. Mainstage on Sunday is either a yay or nay untill limp bizkit come on. I'd recomend Japanese popstars and Holy f**k for guarenteed amazing acts. Then Chiddy Band for his one hit wonder opposite of adults
jonwl89
very excited for Girls, Los Camp!, Everything Everything, Rolo Tommasi, Surfer Blood, Holy f**k & Health.
SomeDay
Band Of Skulls - Heard a few songs and theys ound good KIGH - don't know if you can count them as new now, but seen them before and like the first album Yeasayer - Might have to find out where they play O.N.E in their set as Friday will be a busy day for me and thats a good song The Big Pink - liking Dominos so may check them out Mumford & Sons - great album but looking like a clash with Biffy Chiddy Bang - Might give me a reason to go to the Dance stage, only really know Opposite Of Adults though. Nathan113
Los Camp I highly reccomend to anyone, saw them in a little pub in Leicester and they were superb that night. Their second album is very good too, a much more mature sound from their first.

wheres the mudfight
i'll try and catch some of the smaller bands on the dance/lock up as they tend to be more my sort of thing and found some cool bands there before.
redcarsgofaster
of the 'smaller bands i will be watching everything everything, local natives(got a brilliant album out), wild beasts (two brilliant albums once you get used to the falsetto), and then for the dancier side of me yeasayer, four tet and holy f*ck
PurpleFire
Zebrahead! I saw them before supporting Bowling for Soup and they had a huge following allready! Huge in Japan and are pretty good live! Clashes with Serj Tankain and Dizzee Rascal, im so undecided on how to go see at this point. And not really a small band but my favorite band is The Futureheads suprised they are not a bit futher up the bill! n
